Sid Smith, Editor
Sid Smith has been writing dance, theater and film reviews and features for the Chicago Tribune for the past 28 years. A native of Mobile, Al. he studied dance, theater and criticism at Florida State University and the University of North Carolina before moving to Chicago in 1978 to work for the City New Bureau. He joined the Tribune in 1980.
Laura Molzahn, Dance Critic
Laura Molzahn has written about Chicago dance since 1987 for the Chicago Reader, Dance Magazine, and (recently) the Chicago Tribune. She received two Peter Lisagor awards, one in 1990 for a feature on Twyla Tharp and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, the other in 1999 for her performance and dance criticism. An amateur dancer since 1979, she taken classes in many forms, currently hip-hop and African dance. She has a PhD in English from Northwestern University and was the performing and visual arts editor at the Reader for 22 years.
