Event Description

In this seminar for high school dancers and parents embarking on the early stages of college planning, attendees will learn essential information about narrowing down university dance programs and tips on how to begin academic and personal preparation. Leading this seminar is Sandra Gilbert of Ravinia College Consulting, who specializes in students pursuing fine and performing arts. Sandra has helped thousands of students matriculate to college, has personally visited over 125 college campuses across the United States, as well as created the program Passion for the Arts at Highland Park High School for students interested in majoring in their artistic expertise.

This seminar is the first in a two-part series: this installation, “Starting the Process,” is primarily geared towards freshman and sophomores just beginning the college process; the second installment, “Managing the Maze” to be offered in October 2015, will focus on juniors and seniors in the midst of the application and acceptance process.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
