Event Description

Ron De Jesus Dance is proud to announce our first full length evening of dance in Chicago, on April 25 and 26 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts.  Hyper Human is born from a collection of works by choreographer and Chicago native Ron De Jesus.

The performance gives the audience a peak inside the choreographer's inner battles through the title piece, and takes us on a journey from imaginary alien landscapes to a smoky rat-pack era jazz club where the baritone vocals of Chicago-based jazz artist Paul Marinaro invigorate the stage in a world premiere dance suite by De Jesus.

Additional works will be presented by choreographers Arte Philllips and Benjamin Millepied.

Hyper Human will be presented at 7:30 p.m. April 25 and 26 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts Theater, 1016 N Dearborn Street, in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago. Tickets are available online through ruthpage.org or at the door. For more information, call the Ruth Page Center at 312.337.6543.
