Have you ever wanted to walk tall? Here’s your chance to experience the joy and freedom of dancing on stilts, led by High Concept Labs Institutional Incubation Program member Kristina Isabelle Dance Company. No experience is necessary and all levels welcome.

Kristina Isabelle brings 20 years of stilt-dance experience to High Concept Labs. Her technical dance training is combined with stilts to create a hybrid high-art form. Stilt-dance is a fun and dynamic art that has inspired her theatrical work as well as bringing smiles to everyone that encounters a long-legged performer.

Class will start with a full body warm up, incorporating falling techniques. We will help each other in groups to get up on stilts and then switch. You are guaranteed to be walking on stilts after one class. The second class will incorporate taller stilts, across the floor material, and partner work. We will engage the length of the body with leg attachments to push our bodies to explore what is physically possible on stilts. That in turn will open up creative ideas for your own work and build your confidence by conquering fears of dancing tall.

****Stilts will be provided but please bring them if you have them Bring tennis shoes, 1 roll of duct tape, knee pads
