Moving Dialogs: "Global Exchange"

The culminating event for the Moving Dialogs 2014 series, entitled "Global Exchange" will feature leading artistic directors whose work is inspired by various cultural forms. The panelists will discuss what artists hold on to from traditional styles, what they let go of in the name of modernization, and the possibilities of global exchange
across cultural identities.

 

 

 

Is such global exchange the new ideal--or the new threat?

Artists include River North Dance Chicago Artistic Director, Frank Chaves,  Kalapriya Dance Company Artistic Director, Pranita Jain, and NY2Dance Artistic Director, Nejla Yatkin. This discussion will be moderated by Susan Manning, Professor of English, Theatre, & Performance Studies at
Northwestern University.

There will also be a networking reception with the artists after the discussion and light refreshments will be provided.
