Event Description

Audience Architects and the Illinois Humanities Council co-present Moving Dialogs: Nuestros Bailes e Identidades (Our Dances and Identities).  Moderator for the evening, Eduardo Vilaro, Artistic Director of Ballet Hispanico, will ignite a thought-provoking conversation about the Latino culture and identity through the lens of folkloric and contemporary dance forms.  Mr. Vilaro will be joined by Associate Artistic Director, Irma Suarez Ruiz and Executive Director, Jorge Perez of Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater;  Chicago native, dancer and choreographer, Ron De Jesus, will round out this amazing panel.

Please join us for an evening of live music, dance, exploratory dialog and light refreshments —all in an alfresco setting.  Live music will be provided by DJ collective, Sonorama; and community dance company, Gifted Souls, led by Rocky Quinones, will welcome us with a dance performance.

Moving Dialogs is FREE and open to all that would like to attend.

Moving Dialogs: Global Exchange is funded in part by the Chicago Seminar on Dance and Performance, the Illinois Humanities Council, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Illinois General Assembly and the Joyce Foundation.
