Event Type
Performance
Event Description

This performance at the Ruth Page Center is made possible in part through the Ruth Page Center Subsidized Theater Rental Program. The evening opens with Artistic Director Julianna Slager's newest work, 'The Four Seasons of the Soul.' The contemporary ballet uses a resetting of the music of Vivaldi's Four Seasons as inspiration for the work's exploration of the seasons of the soul in life's journey.

Then, Ballet 5:8 will present its full-length neoclassical ballet, 'The Story of Job.' This poignant, gripping story takes audiences through the life of the Biblical character of Job, explores Job's journey of pain and loss, and with the help of Job's friends, asks the timeless, difficult questions about God's role in the suffering.
