Performing a special ode to the Windy City’s famous 1893 World’s Fair, Thodos Dance Chicago performs their critically acclaimed piece The White City – Chicago’s Columbian Exposition of 1893, as they kick-off the Auditorium Theatre’s “Made in Chicago” Dance Series. The White City, created by company founder Melissa Thodos and Tony-award winning choreographer Ann Reinking, was named “Best Dance Performance” by the Chicago Sun-Times (2011). The program will also feature works by Chicago dance icon and modern dance pioneer Sybil Shearer, presented for the first time on stage. Completing the program are Tsuru by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Rehearsal Director Lucas Crandall, and Lullaby by heralded choreographer, and former Hubbard Street dancer, Brian Enos.
