The Internship Program at the Auditorium Theatre was created to afford students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment. This prestigious program allows students to work side by side with industry professions – applying knowledge gained in the classroom in real-world situations.

Marketing and Sales Internship
The marketing internship will provide the intern with a multifaceted understanding of the different aspects of marketing in a theatre setting. The internship will introduce the intern to real world experiences in the field of marketing as they gain insight and experience. You will learn about strategic planning, e-marketing, copywriting, and editing, partnership relations, website maintenance, direct mail campaigns, and promotion development and integration.
Requirements for the Marketing Intern:
- Candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Marketing major or background
- Excellent organization
- Able to work independently with high productivity
- Willing to coordinate with other departments
- Knowledge of HTML and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Ability to commit to 15-20 hours/week for four months

Development Internship
The Development Internship will provide the intern with a multifaceted understanding of the different aspects of development and fundraising in a non-profit theatre setting. This internship will introduce the intern to real world experience in the field of development. You will gain insight and experience in the responsibilities involved in fundraising for a large non-profit theatre, including helping to identify new sources of funding, assisting in the writing and editing of grants, database management, as well as special events planning.
Requirements for the Development Intern:
- Candidate should have strong written, verbal and analytical skills
- Excellent organization
- Able to work independently with high productivity
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to commit to 15-20 hours/week for a six month period
