Hope Goldman is a choreographer, performing artist, and teacher currently based out of Chicago. She received her BFA in dance from the University of South Florida and her MFA in dance with a focus on choreography from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where she also held a teaching assistantship.
Her work has been presented nationally throughout Illinois, New York City, Iowa, North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Ohio, and Missouri. She has served on faculty at Olive Harvey College, been a guest artist at Washington and Lee University and Iowa State University, and often teaches at Lou Conte Dance Studio home of Hubbard Street Dance.
Hope has had the pleasure of dancing in the work of artists such as Kate Corby, Jan Erkert, Michael Foley, Robert Moses, John Parks, Renée Wadleigh, and Jessie Young among others. In Chicago, she has produced her own events and been presented at venues including Links Hall, DANK Haus, Ruth Page Center for the Arts, and Double Door.
Her current research lies in collaboration with partner and computer programmer, Andrew Moffat, creating works that combine dance with real-time interactive technology for their company Form Constant Dance.
