Bonsebare 6

Core Project Chicago presents Bonesbare 6, an evening of new and repertory contemporary dance, video, and mixed media works. Eight unique dance-based, interdisciplinary performances by Core Project artists and collaborators will be presented. Additionally, Renegade Dance Architects of Chicago will be performing site specific work prior to each performance, and Ramah Malenbranche of Wooden Rings will be performing live music prior to and during intermission of the Friday and Saturday performances.

Piece Descriptions

“Stuff in the Air”, powerful quartet highlighting the company’s signature aerial physicality by Erin Rehberg, Artistic Director of CPC

“We Live for the Crows”, contemporary duet looking at the relationship between comfortability and the fear of being alone by Mat Elder of CPC

“Deflection Point”, dark solo about general anxiety and how it personally affects behaviors and mannerisms by Erin Sansone

“Chicago Stories”, three character-based solos presenting the narratives of different people in urban Chicago by Dustyn Martincich of CPC

“Broken Radios”, gritty solo combining dance and video to examine life through the lens of those close to us by Carrie Gant, Associate Artistic Director of CPC

“Softly Spoken”, modern trio searching and discovering within interpersonal layers by Matthew Frazier Smith of CPC

“The Dust”, multi-media exploration of contemporary myth and belief with choreography by Erin Rehberg, musical compositions by Spencer Lambright, and writing and visual art by Jasmine Greer
