​INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED

Our Intermediate/Advanced Summer Intensive program is ideal for serious dancers, ages 13-17 who are working towards advanced and pre-professional course work. Dancers will attend daily ballet classes, with additional training in Pilates, yoga, improvisation, contemporary, and hip hop. Dancers will learn repertoire excerpts, culminating in a showing at the conclusion of each session.

​ADVANCED

Our Advanced Summer Intensive program is created for serious dancers, ages 14-17 who are considering a career in dance. Dancers attend daily ballet classes, with additional training in Pilates, yoga, improvisation, contemporary, and hip hop. Dancers learn repertoire excerpts from current HSDC dancers Craig D. Black Jr. and Alicia Delgadillo, culminating in a showing on the final day of the intensive. Dancers will be placed by age and skill level through our national audition tour.

PRE-PROFESSIONAL

Our Pre-Professional Summer Intensives in Chicago are for advanced and early-career dancers, ages 18–24. Dancers will attend daily ballet classes as well as somatic courses to prepare them for rehearsals. Dancers will explore, research, and collaborate with an exciting new generation of choreographers! The 2019 Intensive introduces special guest choreographer and former Hubbard Street dancer Robyn Mineko Williams, Hubbard Street Choreographic Fellow Rena Butler, and Springboard Danse Montreal Emerging Choreographers, Roderick George and Micaela Taylor.  Each choreographic process will culminate with an informal studio showing at the end of weeks 2 and 4
