Advanced Contemporary with Noelle Kayser

Dancers will be guided from the floor, to seated, to standing - slowly and thoroughly warming up the body by shifting between various technical forms and momentum-based ideas. The second half of the class will be dedicated to contemporary phrase work.

 

About Noelle Kayser:
Noelle Kayser is a Chicago-based choreographer, performer, and educator, and the rehearsal director for PARA.MAR Dance Theatre (2022 Dance Magazine Top 25 to Watch). Past and upcoming choreographic commissions include DanceWorks Chicago, Ballare Carmel, Chicago Dance Crash, Boykin Dance Project, COMMON Conservatory, Cerqua Rivera Dance Theater, Kit Modus, and Moonwater Dance Project. As a dancer, Noelle has performed with, among others, PARA.MAR Dance Theatre, LED Boise, Open Space Dance, NW Dance Project, Visceral Dance Chicago, The Cambrians, Fly on a Wall, gloATL, and Luna Negra Dance Theater. Noelle has taught various classes, workshops, and intensives for PARA.MAR Dance Theatre, NW Dance Project, Visceral Dance Chicago, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago among others. In addition to dance - Noelle has narrated 16 audiobooks for Listen Up Productions / Audible.com, appeared in industrial advertising for Grey Television, Kitchenaid, and Whirlpool, and performed in theater productions with The Alliance Theater, 7 Stages, Theater for the Stars, and Scrap Theater Group. As an actor, Noelle is represented by DDO Artists Agency.


Join us at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts for Open Technique Classes with the Ruth Page Civic Ballet Training Company*, every other Friday at 9:30am. The class will feature rotating guest artists and Ruth Page School of Dance faculty. Method and technique will vary by teacher.

*The Ruth Page Civic Ballet Training Company is an elite group of pre-professional dancers, ages 17-25 who train daily, 9am-3:30pm, August – June at the Ruth Page School of Dance. The program provides continued comprehensive technique training, unique performance experiences, focused study with guest artists and choreographers, and travel to our International Sister Schools in Cuba, Italy and Spain.
