Join us as we kick off Chicago Dance Month the right way with a fantastic Q & A Session with Tap Dancer Arthur Duncan! Arthur Duncan is often referred to as an “Entertainer’s Entertainer." His performances are a lively collection of sophisticated footwork and wonderful songs. Arthur has performed in concert at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the St Louis Symphony and the Portland Oregon Symphony. His television credits include “Diagnosis of a Murder” with Dick Van Dyke, Columbo with Peter Falk, The Betty White Show as well as being a regular for 18 years on the weekly Lawrence Welk show. He was also a featured personality in the movie “Tap” starring Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis Jr., and joined Bob Hope on several USO tours. In 2005, Arthur was awarded an honorary Doctor of Performing Arts in American Dance from Oklahoma City University. This session will be facilitated by our own Reggio McLaughlin. There may be a movement element of this session so come prepared to get up out of your seat!
