Joel Hall Dancers Youth Company (JHDYC) invites dancers ages 12-18 to submit their materials to to be considered for the Joel Hall Dancers Youth Company. JHDYC dancers receive intensive training with Joel Hall Dancers' team of professional teaching artists in addition to performance and engagement opportunities throughout Chicago.
Please submit your materials for consideration. Members of the JHDYC leadership team will review them and, if appropriate, extend an invitation to join JHDYC for a trial rehearsal.
Under JHDYC Artistic Director Heather Zimny, dancers will be asked to commit to weekly rehearsals in Chicago. To help alleviate and share some of the travel burdens, rehearsals will take place on the North Side at the Athenaeum and on the South Side at the Mayfair Arts Center. The Youth Company will rehearse and develop a new piece to be performed in the annual FLAVORS Festival and at other potential opportunities.
If accepted into the program, a monthly tuituion will be required.
