Event Description

Chicago Inclusive Dance Festival is an all day event focused on community building through inclusive dance. The day features inclusive movement workshops, films and discussions.

During workshops such as Chicago’s own Everybody Can Dance, dancers of all abilities will be encouraged to explore their own movement potential while connecting and moving with others.

Don’t miss Carrie Sandahl, PhD, founder and director of the Program on Disability Art, Culture, and Humanities at University of Illinois at Chicago; art films by Wobbly Dance and videos of integrated dance companies such as Momenta and Kinetic Light.

The day culminates with award-winning choreographer, Ginger Lane, working with workshop participants to create a work-in-progress for Access Living's/MOMENTA'S 2019 Counter Balance - An Evening of Physically Integrated Dance.

This festival is free and open to the public
