Event Description

Chicago Takes 10 is a new virtual performance series sponsored by the Walder Foundation to provide support to performing artists and arts organizations who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The series highlights diverse performance styles throughout the Chicago region, featuring local musicians, performers, and dancemakers. With Chicago Takes 10, we hope that artists and organizations will have a new platform to share their work with audiences here in the Chicago region and beyond.

Join Emcee Sandra Delgado every other Thursday at 6 p.m. CT. All performances run 60-90 minutes.

About Arts + Public Life
Established in 2011, Arts + Public Life (APL) is an initiative of UChicago Arts that advances and promotes a robust, collaborative, and evolving relationship between the University of Chicago and the South Side’s vibrant civic, cultural, and artistic communities. Building creative connections over the last ten years (eight years on Garfield Blvd in Washington Park) has allowed APL to welcome an expansive base of visitors–neighbors including South Side artists and youth, University colleagues and students, and Chicagoans engaged and involved in the city’s vast arts + cultural communities.
