About Katlin Michael Bourgeois

Katlin Michael Bourgeois is a Chicago-based dance artist whose mission is to disrupt the status quo of the concert dance world, create non-harmful spaces for dancers to train, empower dancers to use their voices to enact change in our communities and highlight LGBTQ+ stories on stage. They’ve worked with companies that include, Hubbard Street 2, Dance Theatre of San Francisco, Flockworks, and others; as well as founding their own project company Ensemble180. Currently, they serve on faculty at The Academy of Joffrey Ballet and have set works on companies including Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre, The Cambrians, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and Ensemble180. Katlin’s work is about the physical expression of the soul and emphasizes individuality, while (hopefully) capturing the magic of movement/energy of the body.
