Event Description
Red Clay Dance Company presents our 4th Annual Dance4Peace Youth Concert | Community Hug Awards, on behalf of our Community Engagement, Education & Partnerships program on May 14th at the Harold Washington Cultural Center. This year's production is title "Migration Stories" and is empowering our youth to write their own narratives and futures!

Dance4Peace is not only a fundraiser for our CEEP program, but it serves as the culminating performance for our school-year program participants. This family-friendly annual concert features the Red Clay Dance Academy students and our two teen companies, the Red Clay Dance Youth Ensemble and the Two Planks Theater Ensemble. This concert is a celebration of youth taking ownership of their choices by actively committing their time, talents and energy to creating and presenting dance works that promote peace and positivity!

During the event we also recognize there leaders in our community with a “Community Hug” Award. This award honors those who are committed to impacting the lives of youth in Chicago through art and activism.
