High Concept Labs Fellow Yoshinojo Fujima ( aka Rika Lin) presents Kurokami E{m}urge, an original dance/calligraphy/music collaboration presenting a study of traditional Japanese performance.

Dancemaker Yoshinojo joins with Chicago's premier Japanese Calligrapher, Grandmaster Hekiun Oda, along with the creative music entwinings of Ozashiki shamisen player Toyoaki Sanjuro (aka Tatsu Aoki), and the soundscapes of texture guitarist Dawei Wang, to encapsulate the evocation of longing thoughts and fleeting, gritty whim for an alternative take on the Nagauta piece "Kurokami" (Black Hair).
