Event Description

Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker provides wide-ranging insights into choreography and into the making of her four early works (1981–86) including Rosas danst Rosas, performed at MCA Stage Oct 9–12. She also revisits, with Director of Performance Programs Peter Taub, her company’s Chicago debut 15 years ago with the seminal work Drumming, a landmark part of Taub’s fourth MCA Stage season at the time. Following their talk, she signs her two-volume book set A Choreographer’s Score: Early Works (2012) and A Choreographer’s Score: En Atendant & Cesena (2013), a rich trove spanning 30 years of development in De Keersmaeker’s work.
