Mi Familia Pilsen Premiere

Performance
Event Description

As part of the season premiere of Artistic Director Julianna Rubio Slager's new work Mi Familia, Ballet 5:8 is excited to visit the National Museum of Mexican Art in Pilsen for a Sunday evening performance this October. Mi Familia draws on Slager's own heritage and family experiences and, incorporating traditional Spanish music and a flamenco-inspired flair, creates a lively, relatable picture that is sure to have us all dancing along in our seats.

Also featured at this performance will be audience favorite As We Pray. This ballet is a living, moving, emotion-filled reflection on the concept of prayer. This is a contemporary ballet inspired by our human need - seemingly rooted in the very depths of our souls - to reach up and be in communication with God.
