This class will guide us through exercises and conceptual tools to help us explore our own movement vocabularies. It will provide us space to follow our curiosities and find movement that energizes and excites us.
Artist Bio
Maya Kell-Abrams graduated from UCLA with a double major in the World Arts and Culture/Dance and Gender Studies, with a minor in African-American Studies. Post college, she has performed with Project Home Dance internationally and Beyond Babel’s San Diego and Off-Broadway seasons. Maya has a deep love and appreciation for house dance/club culture and street style dance. Maya’s improvisational focus is rooted in curiosity and play.
