Opposites Attract returns for its 3rd year. Come witness this love story, tragedy, story of hope, epic adventure, and this visual novel told through MOVEMENT! Featuring hip-hop, break dance, ballet, jazz, contemporary, latin, and more. 2017 and 2018 shows were a sold-out hit so you definitely do not want to miss our 2019 show! Opposites Attract 2019 will feature new works by choreographers:
Monternez Rezell, India Monae, Ibrahim Balde, Sasha Mortimer, Marwen Daher, Ashley Esper, Terrence Morris, Jr, Dana Cristy, Michelle Hansen and Alex Carr

Performers Bio: 

Movement Revolution Dance Crew members are lead by Artistic Director Monternez Rezell

Monternez “Monte” Rezell, was raised on the south-side of Chicago. He began to find his passion for dance and entertaining at a young age. Growing up he watched his favorite entertainer Michael Jackson, as well as James Brown and MC Hammer and taught himself how to move like those performers. By the age of 10 he was a singing and dancing machine. Later Monte began to teach himself different forms of street dance along with a group of friends from high school. The group would later be known as the world famous Stick and Move Dance Crew. He has choreographed/danced for Stick and Move Dance Crew, Culture Shock Chicago, Hip Hop Connexion Chicago, Chicago Dance Crash and Movement Revolution Dance Crew. 

Monte has traveled around the world performing in various events including Sumfest 2015 with Yazz the Greatest (Hakeem, Empire on Fox) and the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China. Monte has also represented the USA in the World Hip Hop Championships in Bochum, Germany as a member of the USA dance team 2 years in a row. He has also choreographed, danced and taught at numerous events over the US including OKC tap festival, STL tap festival, Dance Chicago, Ben Fest 215, Chicago Bulls (NBA), Chicago Sky (WNBA), Carnival Chicago Choreographer's Ball and many more. Monte was featured on America's Got Talent season 7, and is a Guinness Book of World Record holder for his role as a principal dancer in the K-Mart Halloween Costume Challenge Commercial. He has choreographed and danced for several R&B artists from Chicago. The list includes Ayona, Taejah, and J-Soul. He has had the opportunity to be an opening act for Ciara as well as Chris Brown.
