Event Description

Described as a “hip-hopera,” The Rosina Project is a collaboration between Chicago Fringe Opera and BraveSoul Movement, who join forces to present an electric re-imagining of Rossini’s opera The Barber of Seville. This contemporary adaptation mixes hip-hop MCs, opera singers and street-dance artists with a live DJ and beatboxer to perform an original story of female empowerment and interracial friendship as an immersive house party. The Rosina Project is part of the Seventh Annual Pivot Arts Festival. For more information on this event, visit pivotarts.org/project/the-rosina-project.
