Synapse Arts Spring Modern Dance Classes

 

Join Synapse Arts for modern dance classes at Loyola Park. This affordable weekly class welcomes adult students of all levels - community members and professional dancers alike. The ten week Spring session is shared by two teachers, Synapse Director Rachel Damon and Dance COLEctive Artistic Director Margi Cole.

 

Modern Dance for Adults

10am-11am

Thursdays, April 4 through June 6, 2019

This class teaches principles of modern dance through movement exercises and unique choreography. Emphasis is placed on connections within the body, motion qualities, rhythmic timing, and creative expression.

All levels are welcome. Students should be age 18 or older.

Please plan to wear comfortable clothes, and socks or bare feet.

Loyola Park is located at 1230 W. Greenleaf in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. The Park is close to the Morse red line stop and there is affordable parking onsite. Class takes place in the Sky Room on the second floor of the main park building, overlooking Lake Michigan.

 

Students can register for the full Spring session of 10 weeks for $29 total, or drop in for $5 per class (cash only please). Space is limited and classes do fill up.
