DanceWorks Chicago is excited to offer a special half-day workshop for teen dancers! Take advantage of a day off from school and enjoy getting to know the artistic director, dancers, and culture of DanceWorks Chicago!

SCHEDULE:

9:15am, registration

9:30am-11am, Open Company Class (ballet) with Artistic Director Julie Nakagawa

11:15am-12:45pm, DWC rep taught by DWC dancers

12:45pm-1:15pm, informal showing and Q & A

The workshop is open to Advanced level dancers ages 13-19. RSVP to info@danceworkschicago and pay by Saturday, October 8 to reserve the Early Bird rate of $30.  The walk-up rate is $35.

DanceWorks Chicago is committed to supporting individual artistic growth, providing a laboratory for early career artists to journey from “good to great” through training, collaboration, mentorship, and performance. Under the inspired leadership of Artistic Director Julie Nakagawa and CEO Andreas Böttcher, DWC shines a spotlight on individual artists, celebrating unique voices and finding harmony in collaboration. DWC alumni are currently dancing with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, AXIS Dance Company, Body Traffic, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, the Broadway and National Tour of The Lion King, and Northwest Dance Project, among other pursuits.
