Chicago Tap Theatre Summer Intern

Chicago Tap Theatre is looking for a summer intern to join our team in 2019! This internship involves working with
one of Chicago’s own non-profit dance companies. It is a unique opportunity to learn about the world of
non-profits, develop mentor-type relationships, connect with the performance community in Chicago, and, of
course, tap alongside the company!
Time Commitment:
● May- August based on availability of intern (most come late May through early August)
● 4 hours in the office per week
● Occasional “homework” (run a couple errands, hang a few posters, finish some data input)
● Show week includes 4-5 days of being in the theatre all day plus 4 weekends of shows
● Two 3-4 day intensives where you’ll be working all day
● A couple extra office days leading up to the gala
● Afternoon to night on the day of the gala
Pay:
● Non-paid
Housing:
● No housing offered, but interns of the past have stayed with Loyola University Chicago’s summer intern
