New recreational dance studio opening this fall in the near west suburbs is hiring enthusiastic, qualified part time front desk associate(s). These positions begin mid-August and run through our 2022-2023 school year. Great opportunity to get in on the ground floor and build something wonderful together! As our front desk associate, you will be the first impression that greets each parent and student. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have
• Proven work experience as a secretary or administrative assistant
• Familiarity with office organization and optimization techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Integrity and professionalism, including keeping confidential information confidential
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Fluency in English and Spanish
• Experience with dance software a plus, ie. Studio Director
• Experience with managing online social media marketing campaigns including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail; especially for data entry

Responsibilities: Please consider before applying that the position does include each of the responsibilities below

• Greets all visitors to the studio in a pleasant and welcoming manner– general receptionist duties
• Translate communications from Spanish-speaking parents for Studio Director and instructors
• Translate parent materials and web content from English to Spanish
• Answer phone calls and redirect them when necessary
• Update contact information of employees, customers, suppliers and external partners
• Support, facilitate, manage online social media marketing campaigns
• Handle parcels (shipping and receiving)
• Maintain front desk and studio cleanliness
• Maintain health and safety procedures compliant with the studio policy
• Possess conflict resolution skills
• Enter customer and account data from source documents
• Scan documents and print files, when needed
• Keep information confidential
• Attend regular staff meetings
• Provide support during recitals, performances, and special events outside of normal work hours.
• Provide Teaching staff support as needed during in studio classes.

Schedule:
• Flexible schedule
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability
• Work Location: One location in near west suburbs.

Starting Salary: $10 an hour
