Lyric Opera of Chicago Dance Auditions – LA TRAVIATA

Lyric Opera of Chicago will hold auditions to cast solo dancers for our 2018-19 Season production of LA TRAVIATA on Monday, June 18, 2018. We’re seeking professional dancers who are highly trained in both ballet and contemporary dance. Dancers should be stylistically versatile with excellent acting ability and partnering skills. The choreographer of LA TRAVIATA is Austin McCormick, artistic director and founder of COMPANY XIV. August Tye is the ballet mistress. 

 

The contract is a weekly AGMA Solo Dancer contract, the rate to be determined pursuant to the upcoming contract negotiations between Lyric Opera of Chicago and AGMA. You do not have to be a member of AGMA (American Guild of Musical Artists) to audition, however, should you be offered a contract for this production, you would be required to join the union prior to the start of rehearsals in January, 2019 if you are not already a member.
