Each year, Noumenon Dance Ensemble selects up to 2 developing choreographers to join the company for the season as Featured Resident Choreographers. This program works as a sponsorship by NDE to give developing choreographers the opportunity, resources, and inspiration needed to create work and gain traction in producing repertoire on professional companies. NDE seeks to promote non-binary, trans, and women in the arts. Work set on the company must be built for a fit the dancers.
These choreographers receive:

The opportunity to set up to 2 pieces of new work on NDE during the season.

Coaching and feedback on choreography and process

Costuming, lighting, and performances of the work in NDE produced shows for the season, with potential for more performances of work in seasons to come.

High quality video footage and photos of completed repertoire.

Access to NDE dancers (based on availability) for festival submissions and extra performances of the works. *Choreography by artist will need to be featuring NDE in recognition*

NDE paid submissions of performed work for festivals throughout the season

Recognition on website including links to personal site, headshot, and bio.

Recognition throughout process on social media.

½ page in program for bio and headshot at NDE produced shows within the contracted season.

Short (no more than 1 page doublespaced) expression of interest. Including how you plan to benefit from the experience and what types of work you would most like to create.

Links to your movement: This can be anything from work previously created to a recording of yourself, or other dancers, moving in your astethic.
Scheduling: Noumenon Dance Ensemble will work with choreographers to find a schedule for setting of work. Typical rehearsal days at Noumenon Dance Ensemble are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9PM.
Summissions due by June 30th, 2019. Recipients to be notified by July 15th, 2019.
