What can 3 artists accomplish in 1 hour?

The One Hour Project is Project Bound Dance's annual summer short film series. An exercise in both collaboration and concision, #the1hourproject gives Chicago choreographers and video artists 60 minutes to create a 60 second dance film in a unique Chicago location.

The One Hour Project aims to accomplish three goals: make dance more accessible in a digital era, foster collaboration across artistic disciplines, and provide a platform for emerging and established choreographers and video artists in the Chicago community.

Projects are filmed between June and August. Video artists and choreographers are paired with one Project Bound dancer, without the opportunity to speak beforehand, and given exactly 60 minutes to discuss, create, and record their shared vision. The resulting 60 second dance film will be shared across social media platforms, and presented at Hamlin Park Fieldhouse in October 2019.
