Job Summary
The position of American Rhythm Center (ARC) Lead Associate is responsible for fulfilling the duties of Assistant Manager 
as a full time, non-exempt employee. On a day-to-day basis, the ARC Lead Associate will manage the booking of studio 
spaces, creation/management of partner contracts, creation of weekly staff work schedule, registering students for 
classes, over-seeing the social media calendar, and studio cleaning/maintenance.
 
The Lead Associate is involved in planning and organizing annual programs for Chicago Human Rhythm Project, the
managing organization for the American Rhythm Center. This will require strong
communication with all employees of Chicago Human Rhythm Project. Program offerings include STOMPING GROUNDS,
Rhythm World, Winter Tap JAMboree, Stone Soup Rhythms, the Jane Ellen Murray Gallery and all things related to the
American Rhythm Center.
 
Responsibilities
● Manage other ARC Associates and Work Study students
● Organizing and monitoring employee schedule
● Delegating tasks efficiently and appropriately
● Acting as main studio liaison between partners/students and the company
● Assisting ARC Manager and Assistant Manager in the implementation of program plans
● Assist CHRP Staff with planning and implementation of programs
● Registering Clients for classes
● Meeting daily/monthly sales goals set by Program manager
● Effectively, quickly, and respectfully address concerns of current/prospective clients
● Take calls regarding ARC/CHRP Programming
● Monitor Studio email account/inbox
● Assist with the dissemination of material pertaining to ARC/CHRP programs
● Monitoring and generating content for ARC/CHRP Social Media Platforms on a daily basis
● Keeping accurate records of attendance to ARC/CHRP events and workshops
● Cultivate and maintain relationship with business partners
● Daily cleaning and maintenance of ARC studios, locker rooms, and reception area
● Additional tasks may be added as needed by management level personnel
 
Eligible Candidates will possess the following skills:
● Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
● 1 year of customer service experience (required)
● Past experience with Arts Administration (Required)
● Experience with MindBody Software (Preferred)
● Experience with Constant Contact (preferred)
● Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Drive
● Experience using Social Media Platforms as Marketing Tools
● Flexibility with schedule (typical work week is 40 hours as full time, non-exempt)
● People Person (required)
● Strong communication skills both written and verbal (required)
● Excellent time management skills
● Friendly and Approachable personality, Reliable, Team Player
 ● Problem solver, Ability to multitask
