Work Study Program

The Visceral Work Study program is designed for the dancer looking to further their training.

A work study will be required to:
Be present at the front desk to greet and assist customers
Answer phone inquiries and direct new students towards potential classes
Check in students and process payments through MindBody
Assist in maintaining a clean environment within the dance center
Assist at one Special Event or Performance

Supervisor: Sarah Morimoto, Studio Manager

Schedule:
8 hours per week, schedule to be mutually determined
Minimum of a 3-month commitment

Requirements:
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in English
Previous customer service experience
Experience in handling case
Friendly demeanor
Attention to detail

Celebrating its 15th anniversary, Visceral Dance Center, offers classes for youth and adults seven days a week, taught by industry professionals. Visceral Dance Center is known for its positive environment, exceptional faculty, and a brand-new, spacious state-of-the art facility located in the Avondale neighborhood along the Chicago River. This new space serves the growing needs of the entire Chicago arts community, which uses the building for rehearsals, workshops, and auditions, and includes an in-house theater space, The Ann Barzel Theater, available for performances and special events.
