On August 1, 2022, the Peggy Rose Academy of Dance and Acrobatics was sold to long time faculty member Margo Ruark and reopened September 2022 as ¡Baila Conmigo! / Dance With Me!
The Peggy Rose Academy of Dance has been a pillar of the Berwyn business community for 45 years. “We are grateful for the legacy of high-quality dance instruction and community involvement that Peggy Rose has left us,” says new owner Margo Ruark. “¡Baila Conmigo! / Dance With Me! honors the history of the studio while very much looking forward to the future. The new name both invites and inspires! We’re all about bringing people together for fun, freedom, and community.” With Berwyn and Cicero being largely Hispanic and Spanish speaking, the rebranded studio is a reflection of the community at large.
Peggy Rose Kwiatek, founder states that “The studio is in good hands with Margo Ruark as the new owner and studio director. She is already a familiar face at the studio and has been a great contributor over the last seven years as a teacher, performer, and choreographer." The mission of Baila Conmigo/Dance With Me is fostering a love of dance in children age 3 and up through quality lessons, performances and community participation.
Margo Ruark earned a Masters Degree in Dance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, went on to form her own dance company Margo Ruark and Dancers and toured regionally. Among her many accomplishments was being invited as guest artist to The Black Horse Theater in Copenhagen, Denmark. Since the early 2000's, Margo has been a mindset coach, dance educator, performer, choreographer, and producer in the Chicagoland area.
