While expressed in a traditional Indian dialect, the concepts of rhythm, melody and beat are universal. Similarly, SurTaal's dance style looks internationally to places like Africa, American-Indian tribes, the art of Flamenco and popular Western styles like jazz and modern for inspiration, and then draws on the Indian dance forms of Bharatnatyam, Kathak and folk to merge the dance with our own native style
