See Chicago Dance is excited to announce our involvement with Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events in 2022's #YearofChicagoDance!

This citywide focus on dance is the first-of-its-kind in the U.S. and will address critical issues facing dancers and the Chicago dance industry at large including funding, space and capacity building — not to mention PLENTY of chances to watch the pros and get moving yourself!

Other fantastic organizations including Chicago Dancemakers Forum, Navy Pier, Chicago Park District, and the Chicago Black Dance Legacy Project will be working together to bring a variety of shows and activities throughout the year.

Along with several other related events throughout the year, DCASE will be presenting Chicago SummerDance including the return of the annual SummerDance Celebration! Special dance funding opportunities will also be made available through the CityArts Program and other philanthropic partnerships made available throughout this year. Come join us! #YearofChicagoDance #chidance #dance #chicagodance
