Volunteers Needed

See Chicago Dance is excited to announce the 2023 Awards Presentation Community Celebration taking place on Tuesday, September 19th at Venue West (221 N. Paulina). This year we honor Homer Hans Bryant, founder and artistic director of the Chicago Multicultural Dance Center & Hiplet Ballerinas, with the Legacy Award. We will also honor Ginger Farley, dancer, teacher, dancemaker, and former executive director of Chicago Dancemakers Forum, with the Distinguished Service to the Dance Field Award. This will be an evening full of great conversation, food, and, of course, phenomenal dance! Click here to learn more about the event and this year’s honorees.

In preparation for this year’s event See Chicago Dance is seeking volunteers. Volunteers play a vital role in the success of the evening. Potential assignments include:

  • Event Set Up/Event Strike
  • Artists Liasion
  • Check-In / Registration of guests
  • Ushering
  • Selling raffle tickets
  • Monitoring on-site raffle/auction items
  • Assist with accessibility needs (personal assisting)

Each volunteer will be honored with the fullness of gratitude from the See Chicago Dance’s Board & Staff AND will be able to attend the event (dinner included) at no cost.

The time commitment is Tuesday, September 19th, 12-4 pm OR 4:30–8:30 pm at Venue West (221 N Paulina).
