The Hyde Park School of Dance is one of the treasures that comprise the vibrant south side arts community. Founded in 1993, the non-profit school provides opportunities for students of all ages to study, perform, and create classical and contemporary dance at the highest levels of discipline and artistry. The School's goal is to cultivate a love of dance and strength of body, mind and character that will benefit students throughout their lives.

HPSD presents original choreography in a year-round performance schedule and is known for its repertoire of original choreography for performance by young dancers.
