A Body Bridges Past to Present: Intersections of Dance and History

Gene Siskel Film Center – Theater 2

Speakers: Carrie Hanson, The Seldoms; Mikhail Fiksel, sound designer; Bob Faust, Faust

Moderator: Michael J. Kramer, Northwestern University

The Seldoms discuss "Power Goes" (2015) and "RockCitizen!" debuting during Lake FX. Both works began with archival research which was then transformed into compelling and revealing performance that engages the history of the 1960s to generate cutting-edge, socially relevant dance theater.
