Join Director of Ailey Extension Lisa Johnson-Willingham, former Ailey II Company member Levi Marsman, and Ailey Extension Instructor Keith Alexander to learn choreography from some of Alvin Ailey's iconic works and train in hip-hop and contemporary techniques during Ailey Experience Chicago (April 1-2, 2023)!

This weekend workshop is designed to expand on Alvin Ailey’s life-long commitment to give dance back to the people by making dance accessible to everyone. Ailey Experience Chicago gives dancers ages 9 – adult the opportunity to study with leading Ailey instructors, including former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater company members. Students will learn the rich history of Ailey’s signature style and how he changed the perception of American modern dance. No experience necessary and all levels are welcomed!

*PARTICIPATION IN BOTH DAYS QUALIFIES STUDENTS TO WIN A SCHOLARSHIP TO AILEY EXPERIENCE NYC (AUGUST 7-11, 2023).
