AUDITION REGISTRATION

Online registration is required at www.aerialdancechicago.org/audition

 

REQUIREMENTS

Strong ballet technique, contemporary training and dance partnering are required. Solid physical and mental focus are required for the study of aerial technique and ADC's signature airborne dance style. No prior aerial training is required, however attending classes at Aerial Dance Chicago is helpful to gain experience in our unique training approach. Must be available for weekday morning and afternoon training and rehearsal hours.

 

AUDITION DATES & TIMES

Audition: Tuesday April 11 @11:00am – 5:00pm, Check-in begins at 10:30am

Must be available for callbacks: Wednesday April 12 @12:30-4:30pm

AUDITION FORMAT

The audition will consist of ballet class, contemporary sequences, improvisation, partnering and ground-based movement from company repertoire. Callbacks will include a basic level aerial technique class followed by an introduction to Aerial Dance Chicago's airborne repertoire. 

 

WHAT TO BRING

On the day of the audition, you will need to bring a resume, headshot, ballet slippers, snack and water bottle.
