Ballet with Pointe Technique Workshop ($300)

June 16-21, M-S (12:30-3:30 pm)

Hyde Park School of Dance's Studio B (5650 S Woodlawn Ave)

Designed for dancers who want to strengthen their pointe technique or are new on pointe, this workshop includes a full-length ballet class, pointe technique class, and instruction on the care of your feet and pointe shoes. Dancers will learn the history of Pointe and expand their knowledge of ballet terminology. The workshop participants will be divided into two levels: beginning (taught by Ms. Ratliff) and intermediate (taught by Ms. Zarro). All students will be evaluated for their level on the first day of class. Age 11+ yrs (HPSD Ballet Levels IVA/B and up.) HPSD students must have passed both written and physical pointe shoe exams.
