Bird Lady is inspired by the life and photographs of Vivian Maier – a
Chicago nanny whose prodigious body of street photography has brought
her posthumous fame.  The discovery and dissemination of this private
artist’s work, plus her penetrating portraits of unsuspecting
street-goers raise ethical and artistic questions. Dance artists Liz
Burritt, Kristina Fluty, and Rebecca Salzer join forces with opera
director Kristine McIntyre, composer AlexTemple, videographer Anna
Ryndova, and designers Alina Bokovikova and Aaron Sherkow for a
cross-disciplinary evening of dance, theatre, music and video.
