In preparation for our Spring 2016 performances of Carnival of the Animals and Wild Things, Ms. Ratliff and Ms. Tye will host a workshop reviving choreography from our previous productions as well as creating brand-new choreography. Students may sign up for a half day (9:00am-12:00pm) or for a full day (9:00am-4:00pm). All students begin with a dance warm-up class and then spend two hours working on repertoire rehearsal and choreography. Those students who elect to stay the full day will enjoy a daily outdoor picnic lunch (bring your own) followed by an hour learning more about what goes on behind the scenes (the story behind Carnival, the life of the composer and his music, costume design, and much more). The full-day session finishes with two more hours of repertoire work. Dancers in both the half-day and full-day programs will perform excerpts from Carnival in a studio showing for family, friends and guests on Saturday, July 25th! For dancers ages 9+. Dancers will be divided into groups appropriate to their various levels.
