Dancers of all styles are invited to apply for an independent music video project for the original song In 8 Counts by Chicago-area singer/songwriter Jennifer Kropke.

In 8 Counts explores dance as a metaphor for life’s challenges, growth, resilience, and finding your way forward one step at a time. The video will feature dancers from a variety of backgrounds and movement disciplines, highlighting the unique stories and emotions that dance can express.

We are seeking experienced dancers ages 18+ in all styles, including:

• Contemporary
• Modern
• Jazz
• Hip Hop
• Tap
• Ballet
• Musical Theatre
• Cultural Dance Forms
• Other Movement-Based Disciplines

Selected dancers may participate in a combination of self-recorded footage and a collaborative group filming session planned for early July in the Chicago area.

This is a volunteer-based creative collaboration. Featured dancers will receive:

• Professional video footage for reels and portfolios
• Social media clips
• Screen credit in the final music video
• The opportunity to collaborate on an original artistic project
