In the first of two different performances at Studio5, Cerqua Rivera Dance Theater is proud to present the world premiere of “American Catracho,” their lauded exploration of immigration. This piece has been in development for the past three years as the company debuted various sections of it, and this is the first time that the entire suite will be performed together. An emotional, lyrical, engrossing piece, it has been called a “tour de force” (Chicago Magazine) and “easily [Wilfredo’s] most promising work” (Chicago Tribune).
