Until the stay-at-home order is lifted in Illinois and it is safe to gather in public again, Chicago Tap Theatre is unable to offer in-person classes and live performances (though we are planning for the return of both!). However, CTT has made a commitment to keep people connected to the joy and bond of tap dance by offering original and innovative content on our Social Media channels, such as our new weekly virtual tap classes!

This class is the weekly class taken every Wednesday by the dancers of Chicago Tap Theatre, taught by choreographer, soloist, and educator Mark Yonally. Each week this class will focus on loose-ankle technique, exercises created to enhance proficiency and musicality, and choreography. Each class will end with a short lecture covering Tap History, Jazz Music History, or Basic Music Theory. This class, as well as our other weekly class, will be held via Zoom!
