“an evening of inspired choreography and thought-provoking performance”

– Kristi Licera, Dancermusic.com

Featuring works from the Ballet 5:8's 2017/18 Season program Compass, The Compass Project stretches across time and space to explore some of the most pressing topics in our country and in our cities today. At times witty and satirical, and at times deeply emotional, the program is full of athleticism, power and poetry.

A portion of each Compass Project Chicago ticket purchased will be donated to World Relief.

World Relief is a worldwide nonprofit organization with local offices in Chicago and Aurora, IL. World Relief stands with refugees and immigrants and partners with local churches to end the cycle of suffering, transform lives and build sustainable communities.

Ballet 5:8 and World Relief are both 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.

You Can Join the Conversation

Following each performance, audience members are invited to attend a TalkBack panel discussion. During this informal Q&A, you'll have the opportunity to talk with Ballet 5:8 Artistic Director Julianna Rubio Slager, Ballet 5:8 Artists of the Company, and World Relief staff members about your experience during the performance. What did you see? What did the performance make you feel or think? What questions do you have? All comments and questions are welcome.
