As the Earth pauses in balance between light and dark, join award-winning choreographer Nejla Yatkin for a preprofessional contemporary dance workshop honoring the Fall Equinox. This session invites dancers to attune their bodies to the shifting rhythms of the season through focused attention on alignment, presence, and embodied exploration.

Inspired by patterns in nature—spirals, waves, falling leaves, and the cyclical turning of

time—this class will guide dancers through contemporary technique, somatic grounding, and improvisational inquiry. You'll explore how inner balance mirrors outer balance, and how aligning the body with seasonal energies opens new possibilities for movement and expression.

Together, we will dive into breath, form, and the subtle language of sensation to reconnect with the body as a vessel of transformation. Let the dance become your offering—an expression of gratitude, release, and grounding as we welcome the turning of the season.
